Former teammate and media figure support Tom Brady for announcing his debut.

Rob Gronkowski admitted this week that Tom Brady "definitely" sounded like a rookie broadcaster during his broadcasting debut last Sunday.   

Former wide receiver Julian Edelman, like Gronkowski, played alongside Brady for the New England Patriots before embracing multiple media chances.  

During a recent interview on "The Rich Eisen Show,"   

Edelman lauded Brady for his performance calling the Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns

When the red light turns on, you've done all of your preparation, and nothing changes.  

Several articles released this summer discussed how Brady began prepping for his role as Fox's new primary in-game analyst last year.   

He and play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt reportedly "called a full season's worth of practice games" before last weekend, but it didn't stop Brady from appearing uncomfortable throughout his official debut.   

Many prominent media figures spent part of this week defending Brady and reminding viewers that broadcasting is "not that easy."
