Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, and before we move on to Week 2, FOX Sports NFL commentator Tom Brady will disclose his current top five teams!
Several predicted postseason contenders made big statements in Week 1, including the Dallas Cowboys overwhelming
the Cleveland Browns in Brady's broadcast debut and the Detroit Lions defeating the Los Angeles Rams in overtime in a playoff rematch from the previous year.
Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs have continued to look good as they aim to do something Brady never did in his career: win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Brady's thoughts: "They had a tremendous start at home against the Indianapolis Colts. DeMeco Ryan has done an excellent job since taking over as head coach of that team.
They were in the playoffs last season and have an excellent defense. But for me, this game was about CJ Stroud.
He was extremely clutch in situational football. "They'll be a tough team to beat all season."
Brady's thoughts: "What a performance on the road against Cleveland, who also has a fantastic defense —
though Dallas' defense came through. The Cowboys limited Cleveland just two first downs all day.
They stifled the Browns in the run game and attacked the pocket. Deshaun [Watson] was uncomfortable all day, and on the offensive side, Dak [Prescott] made the necessary plays
They made a big play in the kick return game. They performed effectively in all three phases."
